Sarah Marchus, EA

Owner

Sarah was born and raised in Bismarck and graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Prior to Padgett Business Services, Sarah had worked as an Industrial Engineer, Inventory Control Supervisor and Director of Materials Management for two local companies.

Sarah has completed post-graduate studies in the areas of Accounting, Income Tax, and Business Law; and is designated as an Enrolled Agent by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).   Enrolled agents are federally authorized tax practitioners with expertise in the field in taxation. Only Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys may represent clients before the IRS.

Sarah is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®, which is achieved by completing the QuickBooks® certification course and passing the certification exam.

Sarah specializes in small business accounting as well as individual and business tax preparation. She is an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, assisting with the Sunday school program and other church activities. In her spare time she enjoys golf and spending time with her children.

Ginger Boor

Accounting Technician

Ginger is originally from Moorhead, MN.  Prior to joining Padgett Business Services, she was an Office Manager at a local church. She has also worked with several other local companies as a bookkeeper. Ginger received her Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Mary.

Ginger is a member of First Lutheran Church of Mandan and makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief and their work in third world countries. In addition to quilting, in her spare time she likes to travel and visit family in Minnesota and Oregon.



Darlene Martin

Office Assistant

Darlene was born and raised in the Bismarck/Mandan area. Prior to joining Padgett Business Services, she was employed as a Human Resources Assistant for a local company. Darlene is also employed as a Medical Transcriptionist out of her home.

In her spare time, Darlene keeps busy attending her children’s sporting events, spending summers on the pontoon with family and friends and gardening. She is a member of Evangel Assembly of God church and assists with the 2 and 3-year-old Kids’ Church program.

Bethel Peterson

Tax Preparer

A Wisconsin native, Bethel Peterson joins our staff this year as a tax preparer. She has over 15 years of tax preparation experience and over 500 hours of continuing education in a variety of tax areas concerning individual tax returns. She specializes in tax matters related to retirement and investment income, as well as rental and royalty income.

Bethel has a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology and was a medical technologist for 40 years prior to retiring. She decided to become a tax preparer in addition to her other career because she enjoys working with people, as well as the challenge of tax preparation and keeping current with tax law changes.

Bethel is very involved as a volunteer at Bismarck's Emergency Food Pantry. She also enjoys working outdoors and doing investment research.
